A big mana crystal or in some cases multiple smaller ones are integrated at the top of the helmet. This allows the wearer to draw additional mana from the crystals in battle, increasing their mana reserves and regeneration.

Usually worn by battlemages or mages who rather fight at the frontlines instead of studying in libraries and lecture rooms.
